Shipping policy
Orders are shipped Mondays-Fridays, excluding posted holiday closures. Shipping costs are calculated based on size/weight by different carriers at checkout. In store pickup (for eligible items) is free.
Buy Online, Pickup In Store
Items in our online store, now including all size bags of coffee, are available to purchase online and pickup in store at our locations in Berlin, East Hartford, Farmington, and Plainville.
In Store Pickup availability of an item is not a real-time reflection of current inventory of a product at any given location. Orders placed through Buy Online, Pickup In Store will be processed by our online store fulfillment team and delivered to the selected location for pickup, and you will receive an email notification when your items become available for pickup.
Coffee Order Processing Times
Online store orders containing coffee may have up to a 2-business day delay before shipping or being delivered to the in store pickup location in order to be added to our roasting schedule to ensure that customers receive the most recently roasted product.
Most of our coffee roasting is done on Mondays each week, and occasionally on Wednesdays or Thursdays depending on demand, and orders are usually shipped out or delivered to in store pickup locations two days after roasting.
On occasion, and in order to avoid wasteful practices, some coffees--particularly seasonal blends and single origins--may be fulfilled from roasts up to a week old. This coffee is still fresh, and is actually still a few days from its peak quality for brewing, as coffee requires around 10 days to off-gas from the roasting process. Coffee brewed too soon after roasting may have slight bitter and astringent qualities, but these will dissipate between one to two weeks after its roast date.
